Saturday 5th March to Sunday 13th March
Royal National Hotel, Bedford Way, London WC1
The Jewish Book Council is proud to present Jewish Book
Week 2005, the leading international festival of Jewish
ideas and writing. We invite you to hear celebrated authors
from around the world appearing alongside exciting new voices
in a range of sessions designed to stimulate, inspire and
entertain, whatever your particular interests.
Our programme this year is as rich and varied as ever,
with contributors from Britain, France, Canada, Israel,
South Africa and the US, and over 50 sessions in London
and 35 nationwide.
Two special strands, Jews and the Mind and Libels
and Fictions, bring together some of our leading thinkers
to reflect on these compelling contemporary issues which
radically affect our sense of ourselves as individuals and
as members of diverse communities.
This year we are delighted to offer an expanded range of
events for children and teenagers, and a wonderful exhibition
of photographs of great Jewish writers. Waterstones
are the new booksellers, and for the first time we have
our own Café Lounge open daily.
We hope you will enjoy Jewish Book Week 2005. Let us know
what you think!
