Saturday 25th February - 5th March 2006
Royal National Hotel, Bedford Way, London WC1
Welcome to the worlds leading festival of Jewish writing and ideas. With over 50 sessions and contributors from Australia, Britain, Canada, France, Hungary, Israel, South Africa and the USA, this years programme is packed with variety and encompasses both old friends and new voices.
The two strands interwoven this year are The Ten Commandments and Family Relationships, exploring influences moral, ethical and intimate on lives and literary works. We are delighted that Waterstones is again our bookseller at the book fair, which promises to be more wide-ranging than ever.
There is a greatly expanded childrens programme for all ages on both Sundays, plus, for the first time, a special daytime programme for schools on Tuesday 28 February. Another innovation this year is a Book Week blog by selected writers on which you will have the opportunity to comment throughout the Week.
With our On Tour programme taking us to even more venues throughout the country, Jewish Book Week 2006 will be reaching more people than ever. So please come and join us, bring your family and friends and indulge your appetite for books and stories, humour and politics, history and contemporary ideas.
