Doing Our Bit For a Better World

Fed up with the way we are destroying the planet and governments talk without achieving anything? Michael Norton and Hilary Blume will show us how to  change the world and try to make it a better place through actions available to each and every individual whether it is going “unshopping”, building a skip sculpture or giving a goat.

Michael Norton founded UnLtd, a charity which supports social entrepreneurs - people who have the ideas and the commitment to make a difference in their communities. He also founded Changemakers, YouthBank UK and the Go Change the World ambassadors. He is the author of 365 Ways to Change the World. Founder and Director of the Charities Advisory Trust, Hilary Blume has worked in the voluntary sector for 35 years and been described as “the funder from heaven”. She established the Green Hotel in Mysore, India and the Good Gifts Catalogue.

Edie Lush is a broadcast and print journalist. She presented economic and political shows on Bloomberg Television, has written for The Week and The Spectator and last year organised the Intelligence Squared London:Paris Festival.
