This year’s School Day at Jewish Book Week will be looking at ‘Storytelling Histories ’. We are inviting year 6 classes to sample some of the most exciting parts of the festival in a series of three specially designed sessions with some multi-talented and award-winning writers. Caroline Lawrence, author of The Roman Mysteries will talk about the way she uncovers and brings to life stories from history, focusing on The Slave Girl Form Jerusalem; Storyteller and Folklorist Howard Schwartz will tell the story of The Bird of Happiness and other stories of Jerusalem; and
Daniel Hahn and Leonie Flynn, editors of The Ultimate Book Guide tell us the secret of what makes a good story.
