In the Name of Love

Aaron Ben Zeev examines the dark side of romantic love. Disappointed ideals can mutate into frenzied violence and abandoned lovers resort to murder rather than accept that their ex partner has found happiness in someone else’s embrace. This distinguished moral philosopher looks at the worst evils committed in the name of love.

Aaron Ben-Ze'ev, the President of the University of Haifa, is Professor of Philosophy. He is considered one of the world's leading experts in the study of emotions. He has written many books including: The Perceptual System, The Subtlety of Emotions and Love Online: Emotions on the Internet and most recently, In the Name of Love: Romantic Ideology and its Victims.

Anthony Julius is a prominent lawyer and academic. He represented Deborah Lipstadt in the David Irving Holocaust denial trial, Princess Diana in her divorce from Prince Charles and Heather Mills in her divorce from Paul McCartney. He is the author of TS Eliot, Antisemitism and Literary Form. He is currently writing a much awaited history of antisemitism.
