Writing children’s books

For anyone who would like to write for children, this workshop will outline ways of getting your story on to the page and also discuss how best to try for publication in what is a very difficult economic climate.

Adele Geras was born in Jerusalem and educated in the UK. She has published more than 90 books for readers of all ages, from children to adults. Her novel Troy was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal and the Whitbread Award. A book for young adults, Dido, will appear later in 2009. A Candle in the Dark, is about the Kindertransports and Voyage about emigration to the United States of America at the beginning of the twentieth century.
