A Passion for Politics

Lord Janner of Braunstone QC, Greville Janner, Labour Member of the House of Lords, has always been passionate about politics. At Cambridge, he was both President of the Union and Union Labour Club. While at the House of Commons, he campaigned for human rights and industrial relations and was a key player in the adoption of the 1991 War Crimes Act. Here he shares with us his passion and fascination for politics.

A tireless worker for the Jewish Community, Greville Janner is Vice President of World Jewish Congress and has throughout his career sought to foster good relations between different faiths and religions. A man of many interests, he speaks 9 languages and is a Member of the Magic Circle. He has recently co-authored a book on Jewish Parliamentarians.
