The Ultimate Book Guides

Join the editors of The Ultimate Book Guide and not one, but two much loved children’s writers, former Children's Laureate, Anne Fine and Carnegie prize winning Meg Rosoff. They'll share their favourite books and suggest a treasure trove of new reading.

Recommended Age 7-107

Anne Fine is an award-winning writer for both adults and children. When she was Children’s Laureate in 2001, she set up the Home Library (www.myhomelibrary.org) www.annefine.co.uk

Daniel Hahn is a writer, editor and translator. He was on the judging panel for the 2009 Booktrust Teenage Prize. He has also recently translated his fourth novel, published a literary guide to Britain and Ireland and organised a national writing competition for secondary school students.

Meg Rosoff was born in Boston, USA. She has worked in publishing, public relations and most recently advertising, but thinks the best job in the world would be head gardener for Regents Park. Meg lives in Highbury, North London. She is the author of Just in Case, What I Was and How I Live Now.

Susan Reuben has been a children’s book editor for 12 years. As well as being an editor for the Ultimate Book Guides, she co-owns Baobab Editorial and Design Ltd, a company that carries out freelance work for children’s publishers. She is also busy writing a children’s book about food and religion, to be published by Frances Lincoln.
