The Universal Language of Mathematics

 

The two mathematicians, known for their ability to make their science understandable and enjoyable to the most reluctant person, discuss the unreasonable effectiveness of mathematics, a universal language that transcends physical and cultural barriers.

 

Marcus du Sautoy, one of the UK's leading scientists, is the Charles Simonyi Professor for the Public Understanding of Science and Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford. He is a frequent contributor on mathematics to newspapers and radio, and a member of the UK Writers' Soccer team. Visit his website.
