Workshop: Find Your Poetic Voice

Find your poetic voice in this practical writing workshop

Memories are essential ingredients for constructing poems. This workshop will explore the power of stories and look at how objects can reveal unexpected gems about our lives. Please bring along an object that means a lot to you (anything from a scarf to a favourite comb), come prepared to find your poetic voice. You will also need to wear comfortable clothes.

Malika Booker writes poetry, plays and solo monologues. Her pamphlet Breadfruit was published in 2007 and commended by the Poetry Book Society. She is Writer-in-Residence at the RSC.
