Tuesday 2 March 5.15pm 2004

Mira Hamermesh

The River of Angry Dogs is the dramatic and intimate memoir of Mira Hamermesh, the Polish-born filmmaker, painter and writer.

To mark the launch of this book, which came hot off the press, arriving from the printers just in time, in this intimate meet the author session, Mira read from the book and signed copies.

Mira Hamermesh was born in
Lodz, Poland. As a filmmaker she has won many international awards including the Prix Italia and the Royal Television Society Award. She has been a visiting lecturer at the National Film School and the Australian Film School.
