Master biographers, Eilat Negev and Yehuda Koren will be speaking about their new book, Giants- the Seven Dwarfs of Auschwitz, at 8pm at Bowden Synagogue, Manchester.
Giants - The Seven Dwarfs of Auschwitz is an astonishing story of survival against the odds. The Ovitz family, seven of whose children were dwarves, performed across eastern Europe in the 1930s and ‘40s as “The Lilliput Troupe”. Captured in 1944 and sent to Auschwitz, they continued to perform and escaped death. Master biographers Eilat Negev and Yehuda Koren present a moving portrait of an extraordinary family.
Yehuda Koren and Eilat Negev are journalists whose work has been widely published and critically acclaimed across the globe. They are authors of First Lady of Fleet Street, presented at Jewish Book Week in 2012, and A Lover of Unreason: The Biography of Assia Weevil.
